DJ 501 — Boner Jams vol. I
I made this for a talent show back in high school. It’s basically a buffet of samples from popular songs that swap beats with other not-so-popular songs. Let’s see if I can list all the samples.
00:00 — 00:10: the glitchy guitar chord is from Arcade Fire’s “Wake Up,” and the gated bass sound I made in Reason
00:10 — 00:48: guitar and lyrics are Radiohead’s “Talk Show Host, the beat that drops is from “Tough Guy” by Crystal Method
00:59 — 1:20: lyrics and guitar is from Weezer’s “Say it Ain’t So”
1:20 — 1:41: lyrics are from DCFC’s “Soul Meets Body” and I think the beat belongs to me
1:41 — 1:57: synthy sounding thing is “Porcelain” by Moby and the piano is from “Mad World” by the Donnie Dark guy, the beat that comes back around is “Tough Guy” again, interspersed samples of “Talk Show Host”
1:57 — 2:30: the beeping and piano sounds during the breakdown are from Crystal Method’s “Bad Stone”
2:30 — 2:40: lyrics are from Coldplay’s “Fix You,” beat is a combination of me and Crystal Method
2:40 — 3:01: lyrics are from “In the Waiting Line” by Zero 7
3:32 — end: background samples consist of “Porcelain,” “Bad Stone” and “Talk Show Host
